Welcome to Bevan House!

Bevan House is a Residential Care Home for people with learning difficulties and associated mental health problems. It has a rating of 2 with CSCI. The staff at Bevan House are trained to support service users with varying degrees of challenging behaviour if required. This is a small 6 bedroom family home which functions as a shared house environment for service users. Bevan House is particularly suitable for people who wish to develop independence and are keen to practice daily living skills. Staff take an holistic approach to care - valuing the whole indiividual person. This ethos is reflected in all person centered care plans.

Bevan House is a modern and friendly living atmosphere, 3 rooms are traditionally furnished whilst 3 further rooms have ensuite / shower facilities and a snack preparation area with mini fridge. The home has a pleasant garden with a small sheltered workshop which can be used by service users to pursue their hobbies. Parking is to the front of the building. The house is double glazed throughout.

Bevan House staff take great care to promote a relaxing atmosphere.Due to this the home does not appear in any way "institutional". Residents actively engage in community life as they wish and the home is particularly suited to young adults. There is staff support throughout the 24 hour period.

Location

Bevan House is situated in the heart of a mixed residential community in the Waddon area of Croydon. The home has easy access to the busy town centre by public transport. It is also easy to get into London or the surrounding countryside by rail or by using the home transport service.
