The acting Manager of Bevan House is Mrs Sarita Khoosye. Sarita is studying for NVQ4 and a registered managers award. Sarita is supported in her role as Home Manager by Dr Madhewoo who is the home owner, Registered Provider and Founder Director of Unicorn Projects. Sarita has overall responsibility for the effective running of the home.
Staff and Training
All staff receive induction training. This continues until the new member of staff is confident and competent to manage tasks alone. Induction takes the form of shadowing an experienced support worker throughout the shift. Regular supervision is provided by the home manager and staff are encouraged to discuss any aspect of their work that may be troubling them. Training is provided and ongoing. After completing a satisfactary probationary period, staff are require to commit to an NVQ course if they have not already completed one. Mandatory course such as Health and Safety, Medication and Moving & Handling are provided within the first six months of employment.
